Dr. Keat Cheong earned a Doctor of Music in Violin Performance from Florida State University and a Master of Music from Boston University, and also holds an Artist Diploma from OAcademy Conservatory and Licentiate Performance Diplomas in both violin and piano from Trinity College London. She has served as a teaching assistant in violin, chamber music, and aural skills at Florida State and Boston University, and coached the first violin section of the Tallahassee Youth Orchestra.
As a performer she holds contract positions with orchestras including the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and the Panama City Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Midori Goto, JoAnn Falletta, and Keith Lockhart. Her recording work extends to film and television, including recordings for the Netflix Original series The Ghost Bride and an HBO Asia film.
